Details

It’s all in the details, whether it’s something small or noticeable. It’s so funny because detail is literally in everything!!! I’ll find myself watching a movie/tv show or listening to a song for what is the thousandth time and “go woah I’ve never noticed that before.” That where using detail in design comes in it can be on you don’t want to show off to easily or it can be easily seen and found by one look.

With brands like Alexander Wang, Chloe, Marchesa, Louis Vuitton, and Prada (cough cough my faves) I would always look at the details they were putting into their collections. Whether it being beading, flowers, embroidery, prints, and even accessories, I would just be blown away by it. When I first came to the city I had the opportunity to intern at Marchesa, not only was that a huge goal and accomplishment of mine, I was excited to learn how to do more detail work. Going to a university that wasn’t an art school our fashion program didn’t have all the opportunity to teach on that part of design work, so being able to have a place where I learned flower making, advanced my beading knowledge, and learned in an extreme detail about embroidery and then on top of all that learning how to do it successful was such an amazing thing.
