Florence Streets
Coffee, gelato, beautiful architecture, the sound of the Italian language, laughter, and how could I forget the pigeons. From the minute I arrived in Florence, a place I consider to be my second home to the tearful goodbye, the streets of Florence impacted my life. I still remember the first time I came to Florence, just four friends who wanted to go a pizza place! Never would I think during that first trip, I was going to be able to go again and stay for the majority of the summer. Growing up in an Italian family I had always wanted to go to Italy and be able to experience their culture.
The culture that is all around Italy no matter what part you go to, was the biggest thing that has drove my senior collection and even my second collection. Something that really has been running the fashion world for quite some time now is that we’re always on the go! This lifestyle was very prevalent within the Italian culture, when it comes to designing that’s always been a main focus of mine. In my first collection I really wanted looks that whether you’re working, a tourist, or a local it would be something you could wear all day and feel comfortable at any occasion.
Oh, and the Duomo view that I would see everyday on my walk never got old!
